THE BEGINNING OF THE STORM
The history of the lifestyle and its clubs is relatively recent in Canada. In 1996, Jean Paul Labaye, of French origin, decided to open L’Orage Club, the first street front lifestyle club. In 1998, a police raid, largely covered by the media, propels L’Orage Club into a legal saga which ended December 2005. The verdict? The Supreme Court of Canada votes in favor of Mr Labaye, and legalises lifestyle clubs in Canada. Many clubs have surfaced, few have survived. If the lifestyle is a life-style, having a lifestyle club can only be motivated by passion.
It is this passion that, 20 years later, L’Orage Club is still going strong, more solid than ever. Recognized across borders, it is one of the main lifestyle destinations in Canada, the US, and in Europe.

If security and respect are the spearheads of L’Orage, eroticism, sensuality and sexuality are the breadcrumbs. Not everyone enters into L’Orage Club. Being a member is a privilege. An impeccable and elegant dress code is mandatory.

The dress code: most of the women make a big effort to please the men! Some lace, a scintillating red lip stick , nice high-heeled shoes, a wonderfully-sexy perfume. They, of course, expect to find in return something else than a man in a t-shirt, ripped jeans, pieced-together sandals, smelling of an afternoon BBQ.
Gentlemen, if a suit is not “de rigueur” at L’Orage, note that an elegant pant, topped off with a shirt, will contribute to your sex-appeal. Running shoes (even the brand-named ones), sport-wear as well as hats/caps will not be able to deliver the passport to pass through the doors to pleasure. In other words: you will have to stay outside!
