The Velvet Rope is the longest running on-site social club in Portland, Oregon. Located at 3533 SE Cesar E. Chavez Blvd, the members-only club is tucked away in a quiet and unassuming location.
10,000 square feet of play space and comfort await you at TVR. We have created an open-minded community that welcomes all. We are that type of places where old-friends gather to relax. In the same time the new ones find all sorts of play activities to enjoy.

Enthusiastic consent and the safety of our guests is our top priority. The diversity of the events we host provide safe spaces regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, age or ability.
Building and maintaining a close community is what makes The Velvet Rope Portland OR great. We value all of the connections to both individuals and other small businesses we have made over the years.
We take our customer security and confidentiality to heart as we uphold a no cell phone or recording device policy within the club. Each guest can expect respect and peace of mind. Anybody are free to express themselves without the risk of being recorded.

The Velvet Rope Approach
The Velvet Rope is not just a space to play in or a building to house events. This a community of lifestyle singles, couples and polycules looking to connect with others in a meaningful way.
We strive to get to know each and every customer. Many equate our upstairs lounge area to their favorite neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other.
One of the best things about the space that houses the TVR community is the fact that there is something for everyone. Some enjoy the comfort of the upstairs lounge while others are drawn to the open play spaces.
Exploring 10,000 square feet of play space of The Velvet Rope Portland
With 10,000 square feet of space, there is a lot to see and do at TVR. There are two floors to explore with both spaces for private play and social time.
The first stop on the first floor is our lobby and front desk. This is where everyone checks in and the only space in the building that cell phone use is allowed.
From the front desk one can usually hear the music coming from the first floor dance club. This space includes a large dance floor, the first of two bars, DJ booth, stage and 2 stripper poles.
Just off the club area, there is a Couples and Ladies Only Lounge. This floor of The Velvet Rope Portland also houses the larger of the two hot tubs, shower, private rooms and the eating area where the buffet is served.
Three staircases take members from the first to second floor. This is where the lounge is with pool tables and comfortable booths to socialize. The lounge has a stage that is often used for shows and the larger of the two bars.
A smoking deck with an outdoor hot tub is off the side of the lounge area. This is where there are also two more showers and a hallway that leads to an open play space. There are also more private rooms in this area.
The future of The Velvet Rope Portland
The future of TVR is already underway. Recent upgrades and remodels have wowed our long-term customers as we move forward with a new face to that old familiar friend that is TVR.
